# Barracks

There are three types of [troops](https://mithraeum.gitbook.io/mithraeum-new/settlement/internal-assets/military-units) in total, each of which has unique characteristics that give it an advantage in a certain situation

You can also see the damage and HP of your troops in different phases of the battle. This will help you plan the outcome of the battle with other troops

When planning your strategy, keep in mind that you can only hire troops at a time when your army size is no larger than your [fortification](https://mithraeum.gitbook.io/mithraeum-new/settlement/upgradable-buildings/fortification "mention")

This section will help you plan your maneuver, in which you can see the cost of [food](https://mithraeum.gitbook.io/mithraeum-new/settlement/resources/food "mention") for the accelerated [movement](https://mithraeum.gitbook.io/mithraeum-new/military/maneuver) of your [army ](https://mithraeum.gitbook.io/mithraeum-new/military/armies)

Demilitarization will benefit a player on whose settlement you are currently standing. The player will receive [prosperity](https://mithraeum.gitbook.io/mithraeum-new/settlement/internal-assets/prosperity) max capacity, allowing him to hire workers
